Known as the “Pianist to the Presidents”, Osborne’s credentials are many. The list of White House performances include Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations. David has performed numerous times for President and Mrs. George W. Bush in the White House. Osborne is a regular performer for Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter in Plains, Georgia. He created and organized President Carter’s 75th birthday tribute in 1999. Jimmy Carter has said that “David is one of the finest pianist in the United States.” And President Bush said “That boy can play!” at the White House in 2003.
Osborne performs currently at his new home the Bellagio Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. He was a fixture at Caesars Palace for 12 years. He is featured at the Petrossian Bar and The Baccarat Bar at the Bellagio. His music includes romantic, classical, jazz, pop, inspirational, patriotic and Broadway show tunes. Osborne’s music encompasses 22 cd’s currently on sale through the Northstar Music label available at gift stores and Borders Books. His record sales near five million. His latest recording is available at Hallmark Gold Crown Stores, “Simply Romantic."
Born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma, he received his undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University. At Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana he studied classical pipe organ and piano performance, with a minor in French. At Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas he completed a master’s degree in keyboard performance and music composition.
A few of Osborne’s more significant recent events include a concert for the American Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, an interview and performance on TV’s “The 700 Club”, a concert for the Steinway and Sons International convention of worldwide dealers at the Beverly Hills Hotel, a benefit concert at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., two concerts for Mr. and Mrs. Don Hall, CEO of Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and a performance in Las Vegas, playing the Steinway pianos of Vladimir Horowitz, Van Cliburn and George Gershwin at Southern Nevada Music as a part of Steinway and Sons Legendary Instruments of the Immortals Tour.
Osborne regularly performs at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas when he is not touring with “The David Osborne Trio”. David remains the master of Romantic Piano performing classical and romantic to Broadway and pop tunes by keeping his repetoire of arrangements up to date with the most popular tunes. His two latest CD’s, “These Dreams” and “What a Wonderful World” have been released in the United States as well as the Philippines where he went on tour in 2009. He has released 27 CD’s and is currently working on some special projects.
This year he will be performing a concert to raise funds to plant trees in Joplin, Missouri where an F5 tornado ripped through the town in May of 2011. David has taken a special interest in seeing Joplin thrive again; his sister and niece still live in the area. He is also working on creating tutorial videos of some of his musical arrangements. His goal is to add more videos for your enjoyment to his youtube channel that his son Joshua Osborne manages. Also towards the later part of the year, he will be performing a special birthday celebration for former President Jimmy Carter!

David Osborne was introduced by pianist Roger Williams as "heir apparent" to the title "Pianist To The Presidents." The spectacular introduction happened in a concert at Sun Coast Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Williams earned this title performing for many U.S. Presidents at The White House during his celebrated career. David Osborne has performed for Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, and President Obama multiple times at The White House. Pianist Osborne has also performed at the invitation of The White House Tour office as well as for private dinners hosted by The President and First Lady.
A native of Miami, Oklahoma David began playing the piano by ear at age four in church and at his grandmother's house. He commenced formal training by age five. He continued practicing in excess of six hours daily through Junior and Senior high school and started lessons with Mary Helen Harutun in Joplin, Mo. Her intense piano training and instruction birthed three National piano winners in Music Teachers National Association Festivals. David was an MTNA national winner and participated in the National Piano Guild for many years under Harutun. David began his professional career by the age of thirteen as he traveled and performed on piano and organ in Oklahoma and the four state area.
Osborne graduated from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. Osborne then studied at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and attended Master Classes at The Juilliard School. In 1984 he completed a Master's Degree in Keyboard performance from Pittsburgh State University. David was the Global Achievement Award Winner at The 50th Anniversary Of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Only 50 students in 50 Years have won this award of the nearly 50,000 students have attended there.
David met former President Jimmy Carter at a book-signing event in Orlando, Florida. A thirty- year friendship was forged on that day, and Carter has called Osborne "one of the greatest pianists in the world!" Carter says "David Osborne is my favorite pianist." David has played birthday concerts for President Carter almost every year for thirty years. On one occasion, George W. Bush pounded on David's chest in the State Dining room saying repeatedly, "This boy can play!" This was following a Christmas White House performance by Osborne with Van Cliburn, Joss Stone, Darius Rucker and Kenny Chesney in the room. Also in attendance was Donald Hall, CEO Hallmark Cards, who later hired David for several events. Additionally, President Clinton once nudged up against Osborne on the Steinway bench and remarked, "Let me see that lick again!"
David continues his eighteen- year run on the Las Vegas Strip. His Vegas career has been Artist in Residence at two properties, Caesars Palace and Bellagio Resort.
Osborne has won numerous awards such as Miami High School Alumni of the year and Meritorious Award winner from Pittsburg State University. Los Angeles Music Awards has honored David with the following awards: Pianist of the year, Concert performer of the year, Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Hollywood Fame Star winner and Composer/ arranger of the year.
Osborne's recording sales are in the millions of copies sold and he is currently on Green Hill Music label, Nashville. David Osborne is a Steinway Signature Artist.
